CONVERSIONS
As Manager of conversions for On-Line, Inc., a large financial data
center, I converted new clients’ customer data from their old financial
data center to ours. This involved interpreting all the data from the
old database, translating the data to the fields in our new system and
reconciling all discrepancies.
In this position I converted approximately 14 banking institutions.
On the day of conversion, all applications were balanced to the totals
on the old system to insure integrity of the accounts. (If they didn't
the company president, who referred to me as “PLAN A” called me to
troubleshoot and fix the problem.)
Later, I converted the internal databases of several telephone
systems to new, updated, releases. The phone systems I converted were
the:
- Nortel Meridian 1.
- SL-1.
- Nortel DMS.
